At Leap Metrics, we believe the future of healthcare quality lies in smarter, faster, and more connected systems. That’s why we’re excited to share that we are in the process of implementing Digital Content Services from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This is a key move in modernizing how healthcare quality is tracked and improved.

Digital Content Services is NCQA’s delivery platform for digital Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) measures, which are configurable digital quality measures (dQMs) written in Clinical Quality Language (CQL) and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®). They align with industry-leading interoperability standards like CARIN Blue Button, US Core, Health Level Seven (HL7®), and FHIR®. This platform provides a more efficient, scalable approach to measuring quality performance across populations and care settings.

Our team has developed and refined logic to evaluate quality measures across a wide range of clinical areas, enabling healthcare organizations to assess how effectively they meet care standards for chronic conditions and improve patient outcomes. Now, we’re enhancing that process by adopting NCQA’s open-source clinical reasoning engine to power this logic, making our work more aligned with national standards and easier to integrate into existing workflows.

Why This Matters

Digital Content Services helps reduce the cost and complexity of building and maintaining quality measures. We can generate patient-level, standards-based outputs that seamlessly connect with the analytic tools in Leap Metrics’ Sevida platform by integrating and delivering digital content from NCQA Digital Content Services.

This is not just a technical upgrade—it’s a transformation in how quality is measured and improved. By moving from traditional, retrospective measurement to real-time, digital-first evaluation, we’re helping to bring healthcare quality closer to the point of care. Every year, NCQA updates many measures, introduces new ones, and consolidates other ones. Integration with Digital Content Services allows us to support these updates seamlessly and rapidly, staying in lockstep with NCQA. By rapidly enabling the launching of new measures and newer versions of existing measures, Sevida can deliver timely data-driven insights that directly improve patient outcomes. These measures support quality programs, value-based care initiatives, and internal performance tracking with greater transparency and consistency.

Looking Ahead

While only a few organizations nationwide have adopted this cutting-edge platform, Leap Metrics is proud to be among the early implementers. We see this as an opportunity to lead the way in digital health innovation and contribute to a more connected, value-driven healthcare system.

Our journey with NCQA’s Digital Content Services is just beginning, but the possibilities it opens up—for providers, payers, and patients alike—are profound. We look forward to expanding our digital measure capabilities and continuing to build tools that make quality data actionable, accurate, and accessible. This initiative takes us one step closer to helping healthcare organizations provide higher-quality, proactive care and bridge care gaps efficiently.
